Cleaning Supplies
Here is a list of essential supplies to have on hand for a clean home:
- Multi purpose cleaner: There are many different ones on the market. Personally, I like to have 2 on hand. One that disinfects for heavier duty cleaning and another gentler formula for those everyday cleanups.
- Microfiber cloths: For trapping dust and dirt, these are washable and reusable
- Dishcloths: For cleaning dishes and wiping down surfaces. These dishcloths are incredible, easy to wash and most importantly: they do not stink!
- Dish soap: Not just for washing dishes, it can be used to remove grease and grime from an array of items including laundry.
- Towels: I love these towels for the kitchen and the bathroom. They hold up really well, don't stink, and come in so many different beautiful patterns.
- Baking Soda: A versatile cleaning agent used to scrub, deodorize, and clean.
- White vinegar: Another versatile cleaner that can be used in many different ways including disinfecting and removing grease and hard water stains.
- Broom and dustpan
- Vaccuum: I personally love Bissel because of their amazing customer service and dedication to pets. We have two dogs living with us. Our labradoodle decided to chew the cord of our vacuum a few months ago. I emailed customer service to see if the part could be replaced. They asked me to send a few photos of the damage and ended up sending me an entire new vacuum a few days later at no charge.
- Toilet Bowl cleaner
Here is a list of products recommended for an even deeper clean:
- Carpet cleaner: As a dog owner and a mother this is an absolute must for me. It is so disturbing and yet oddly satisfying to watch how much dirt and grime this can pull up from carpet and upholstery.
- Robot vaccuum: Our dogs live in the house and the lab hair is everywhere. This keeps up with it very well during the week.
- Steam mop: It is very effective at removing dirt and debris and I love that it also sanitizes. I also like that I can just fill the reservoir with distilled water and we are good to go. Cons are they do run a bit pricier and they are not suitable to use on all surfaces. You will want to check the manufacturer’s instructions before using.
